I am now the proud owner of Seasons 1-4 of Criminal Minds on video cassette. Mwahaha. It’s on DVD - gotcha!
BALLOONACY
I have a completely irrational fear of Balloons. I hate them. I fear them. I don’t like being near them, I don’t like knowing they’re near me. I’m 40 years old for fucks sake! Balloons? At work, some boffin has put 6 colorful blown up evil balloons in the photocopy room. I have to go in that room a dozen times a day - every day! With those wretched stretched rubber bastards just floating there. The thought of a balloon being blown up makes me nervous, but the thought of someone tying a knot in said balloon would send me into hysterics! I don’t know where this stupid fear came from. I just know I hate … no, FEAR balloons as much as I fear spiders or bumble bees or wasps. I mean those insects can sting or kill you but a balloon?
Google tells me a fear of balloons and fear of popping balloons is an Uncommon Fear, well, ya don’t say! It’s called Globophobia. Also, the fear of balloons popping is a real phobia oddly(?) associated with balloonaphobia. That’s called popophobia - no, I made up that name. It’s actually called: ligyrophobia. Who comes up with these names?
So I had to get that out of my system because I’d just come out of the photocopy room with trembling hands. I was only in there long enough to photocopy a piece of paper and I had to get out.
And that was just a little something about me…
Julene Harrison
Absolutely love this woman’s work.
“Originally a constructed textile designer, West Sussex based Julene turned her hand to paper-cutting only recently - a medium she is obviously very well suited to! The work is primarily text based but portraits and illustrations of all kinds are undertaken. Her passion for the precise and her background in the design of textile patterns have combined to make Julene’s style of paper-cutting an ‘overnight’ success.” CIA website
I’m walking behind a woman wearing the Mass Murderer Uniform: camo jacket, camo trousers. Oh and a rifle (kidding) or AM I?
Weird Facebook “Likes”
An expat NZ girl living in the UK was found dead in her boyfriend’s bed a couple of days ago. It has understandably devastated her friends and family. Her Facebook page mentioned that she had a stalker. And 6 people “LIKED” IT????
